A Fanastic Website!

I was checking some links into the blog yesterday and I came across links form a site I had not seen before…I went to see what it was about..and emerged a few hours later knowing that you guys needed to know about this site.  Mrs. Survival is a forum with articles, chat board, and other resources about …ummm…survival.  I found the discussions on world events to be thoughtful and realistic for the most part rather than …whatever the word is I am looking for and can’t find in my sleepy brain right now.

Everything from dehydrating your produce to herbal remedies…

Having been in military intelligence, having a husband that was in military intelligence specializing in the middle east, AND still lives and breathes it…well, when people start talking about world events and how they relate to the United States as well as Revelations…I tend to sit back and wait to see where they are going with it..is it factual? Is it sound?

This was.  Great conversations, great ideas, I liked it.  I am hoping that once the cookbook is done to join the board, but until then I will peruse it as I have time.

Oh, the picture? That is Huck (Matt, but we call him Huck or Thoreau for obvious reasons..) a few years ago…He taught himself to noodle, or catch catfish by hand..no hook, no net, no nuthin’ .  Obviously we will never starve with him in the house….

Last spring he made his own fishing net..taught himself how….

He is the most nature loving of my kids…He could just get lost in the woods and only come back for the occasional Mom-made meal….

Anyway..this site is a great resource.  I am putting it in the side bar if you need it for future reference.
