Home Remedies for Cold Sores
Some people seem to be more prone to cold sores than others. I don’t think anyone in my family has ever had one, but I know that they can be painful and embarrassing. The first thing is, if you have trouble with cold sores then change your diet. You are getting too much sugar and not enough whole grains and vitamin C.
In the meantime let’s see if we can get rid of that thing, shall we?
Saturate your body with vitamin C. I mean saturate it. Take increasing doses of it until you get diarrhea and then back off until your bowels return to normal. How much does that take? Well that will depend on the amoutn of Vitamin C that your body needs. When you are very sick, run down, or deficient it could take 35,000 or more. Vitamon C is one of the best antivirals that there is. I know that many doctors are going to raise an eyebrow at that much vitamin C but I could tell you horror stories of the stupid things doctors have said and done…They don;t know everything!
Lysine is next on the list. Go to the health food store and get it and start taking it at a rate of 3,000 mg. a day.
Make a cup of black tea. As you sip it hold the warm tea bag on the cold sore. The tannins in the tea will help to heal it.
Get echinacea goldenseal capsules and open one up. Make a paste with the herbal powder and a few drops of colloidal silver. Place the paste on the cold sore overnight.
So..there are a few ways to treat it but the best way to prevent it is by diet and nutrition. If you get sick, are under alot of stress, or have something else going on that will cause stress to your system begin taking the vitamin C in a larger dose.
